The Rev. Suzanne Smith, Priest in Charge
Aubrey Smith, Children's Minister
Welcome! I am Aubrey Smith, the children's minister for Grace Episcopal church. My husband Michael and I have been married for five years, and we have a beautiful daughter named Helen who was born on Christmas day and just turned three!
I came to Grace on the first Sunday in Advent in 2006 and immediately fell in love. I found God again in this church and with this family during a time when God seemed so distant to me. I became an adult volunteer with the youth program a few years later, eventually becoming the interim youth minister in the fall of 2014. My husband and I were married that December in this very church! I was called to serve the youth at another church for a few years before God called me back home this summer. In my opinion, there is no greater work than investing in our children, and I am honored to serve the children of Grace again.
Paul Humphrey, Choir Director
Laura Tate, Parish Administrator
Welcome to Grace Church. My parents first brought me to Grace when I was six years old and this has been my church home ever since, serving as both an Acolyte and a member of the choir throughout my childhood and early adulthood. I have a 13 year old daughter named Allison who is an avid gamer and tomboy.
I traveled the country with the US Army for a number of years after I graduated high school in a leadership position with their Family Readiness Group where I worked with the military by assisting families during times of deployment before returning home to the Friendswood/Alvin area in 2013. I worked as Parish Administrator for a local church in Friendswood for four years then moved to the beautiful Hill Country in Kerrville, Texas for one year to be with my aunt. If you have never been it is truly heaven on earth!
Once again, we returned home to Alvin this past August and find myself blessed to have the opportunity to serve my home church of Grace as Parish Administrator.
